The “Perform Work At Height” is a mandatory training course for all workers performing WAH in construction and other industry sectors. This WSH training course would be appropriate for all line staff, operators and workers who are required to perform Work-At-Height at the workplace.

Course Overview

WSH (Work at Heights) Regulations 2013 stipulates that: “It shall be the duty of the responsible person to ensure that no person shall work at height in a workplace unless he has received adequate training on work at height.” The “Perform Work At Height” course aims to provide learners with the WAH knowledge so that they can perform work at height activities properly and safely in construction.

Course Objective

  1. Identify relevant Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) legislations / approved codes of practice / Singapore standards applicable to WAH and roles and responsibilities.
  2. Recognize WAH hazards and preventive measures related to WAH.
  3. Showcase the comprehension of utilizing and maintaining different fall arrest systems and equipment.

Course Structure

Theory:

  1. Legal requirements, Approved Code of Practice and Standards for WAH
  2. Roles and Responsibilities
  3. Risk Management
  4. Fall Control Measures
  5. Fall Prevention Plan (FPP) & its components, including emergency response for WAH Implementation and Monitoring Programme
 

Practical:
Individual Fall Protection equipment and First line Response in emergency Assessment: 35 Multiple Choice Questions & 2 out of 5 Scenario based questions Practical

Entry Requirement

Employability Skills (ES) Workplace Literacy level 3 and above. Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES Workplace Numeracy level level 3 and above.

Certificate issue by

Graduation upon meeting 100% Attendance is mandatory and passing all modules will receive certificate of completion from Global Training Services.
