Course Overview
Workplace Safety and Health Management in Construction Industry,” formerly referred to as “Supervise Construction Work for WSH” or “Building Construction Supervisors Safety” (BCSS) Course, is obligatory for construction personnel designated as supervisors or safety supervisors within the construction sector. This training equips participants/supervisors with the necessary knowledge skills and attitudes required of a Building Construction Supervisor to oversee or supervise any work or process carried out in a worksite safely and without any risk to health.
Course Objective
To enable the WSH Coordinator or Supervisor to acquire the knowledge and be equipped with the application skills to supervise construction work for workplace safety and health. This Competency Unit is designed to focus on building the competency of the WSH Coordinator or Supervisor in identifying the common hazards and risks in the workplace and taking appropriate control measures in supervising WSH in the construction industry.
Course Structure
Interpret and explain legislations from WSH and other prerequisites related to the construction industry.
Overview of the WSH management system – Prepare for the duties that will be required of a construction supervisor.
Conduct comprehensive inspections that follow the proper procedures of organisational inspection, including investigating and reporting incidents.
Entry Requirement
Learners are assumed to possess Employability Skills (ES) Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 4 and above, or equivalent.
Certificate issue by
Graduation upon meeting 100% Attendance is mandatory and passing all modules will receive certificate of completion from Global Training Services.
